Ingredients
Scale
Seafood and Meat
- 1 pound Large raw shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 1 pound Andouille sausage (sliced into thick coins)
Vegetables
- 1 pound Petite potatoes (red or gold variety)
- 2 ears Corn (cut into 1.5-inch rounds)
Seasoning & Sauce
- 1-2 tbsp Tony Chachere’s Bold Creole Seasoning
- 1/2 cup Unsalted butter (melted)
- 2 tbsp Tony’s Supreme Crab Boil
- 4 cloves Garlic (minced)
- 1/2 lemon Juice (optional)
Equipment
- 8-10 pieces Metal or wooden skewers (soak wooden skewers in water beforehand)
Instructions
- Soak Skewers: If you’re using wooden skewers, soak them in water for about 30 minutes to prevent burning while grilling.
- Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the peeled and deveined shrimp, sliced Andouille sausage, petite potatoes, corn rounds, bold Creole seasoning, melted unsalted butter, Supreme Crab Boil, minced garlic, and juice of half a lemon if using. Toss everything well to evenly coat all ingredients in the flavorful marinade.
- Thread Skewers: Alternately thread the shrimp, sausage slices, potato pieces, and corn rounds onto the soaked skewers to create colorful and balanced servings.
- Preheat the Grill: Heat your grill to a medium temperature, ensuring it’s hot enough to cook quickly without burning.
- Grill It Up: Place the prepared skewers on the grill and cook them for 3-4 minutes on each side, turning carefully, until shrimp is opaque and cooked through, and all components are nicely charred and tender.
Notes
- Soaking wooden skewers prevents them from burning on the grill.
- The use of Tony Chachere’s Bold Creole Seasoning and Supreme Crab Boil adds an authentic Southern Creole twist.
- Lemon juice is optional but adds a nice brightness to the seafood flavors.
- Ensure even grill heat to cook potatoes thoroughly.
- Can substitute small red potatoes with baby gold potatoes for variation.
- If using metal skewers, soaking is not necessary.
