Description

These Crock Pot Chicken Caesar Wraps offer a delicious and easy-to-make meal combining tender slow-cooked chicken with classic Caesar flavors, wrapped in a soft tortilla. Perfect for a quick lunch or dinner, they bring together creamy dressing, parmesan cheese, and fresh lettuce for a satisfying and flavorful wrap.

Ingredients

Scale

Chicken and Sauce

  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup Caesar dressing
  • 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

Wrap Ingredients

  • 3 cups chopped green leaf or romaine lettuce
  • 6 large flour tortillas

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Crock Pot: Spray the inside of the crock pot with cooking spray to prevent sticking. Pour 1/2 cup water inside to create a moist cooking environment.
  2. Add Chicken: Place the boneless, skinless chicken breasts into the water and cover the crock pot with the lid.
  3. Cook the Chicken: Cook on low heat for 3 to 4 hours or on high heat for 2 hours, ensuring the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F for safe consumption.
  4. Shred Chicken: Remove chicken from the crock pot and shred it using two forks. Discard the cooking water from the crock pot.
  5. Mix with Caesar Dressing: Return the shredded chicken to the crock pot. Pour the Caesar dressing over the chicken and stir to combine evenly. Cover and cook on low heat for an additional 30 minutes until heated through.
  6. Assemble Wraps: Lay out the flour tortillas. Place approximately 1/2 cup of chopped lettuce on each tortilla, sprinkle with some Parmesan cheese, and top with 1/2 cup of the Caesar chicken mixture.
  7. Wrap and Serve: Wrap the tortillas tightly and serve immediately for a fresh and flavorful meal.

Notes

  • For a healthier option, consider using whole wheat or low-carb tortillas.
  • You can add extra toppings such as sliced tomatoes or avocado for additional flavor and texture.
  • If you prefer a spicier wrap, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or hot sauce to the Caesar chicken mixture.
  • Leftover wraps can be wrapped tightly in foil and refrigerated for up to 2 days; reheat gently before serving.
  • If you don’t have a crock pot, this recipe can be adapted to stovetop by simmering chicken in a covered pan with water and then mixing with dressing.
