Description

Bundt Pan Nachos offer a creative and fun twist on traditional taco night by layering seasoned ground beef, melted cheese, and crispy tortilla chips in a bundt pan. This easy-to-make recipe delivers a visually striking presentation and mouthwatering flavors, perfect for sharing with family and friends.

Ingredients

Scale

Meat Mixture

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 medium diced yellow onion
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 packet taco seasoning

Assembly and Toppings

  • 2 cups Colby Jack cheese, shredded
  • 1 bag tortilla chips (about â…” of the bag, Tostitos brand recommended)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C) to ensure even baking of the layered nachos.
  2. Cook Ground Beef Mixture: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, combine the lean ground beef, diced yellow onion, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 6–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beef is fully browned with no pink remaining. Drain any excess fat from the pan.
  3. Add Taco Seasoning: Stir in 1/2 cup of water and the taco seasoning packet into the cooked beef mixture. Continue cooking for 2–3 minutes until most of the liquid has evaporated and the beef is well coated with the seasoning.
  4. Layer Ingredients in Bundt Pan: Begin by layering half of the shredded Colby Jack cheese evenly into the bottom of the bundt pan. Next, add half of the seasoned beef mixture followed by about one-third of the tortilla chips. Repeat layering by adding the remaining shredded cheese, then the rest of the ground beef mixture, and top with another one-third of the tortilla chips.
  5. Bake Nachos: Place the bundt pan in the preheated oven and bake for 10 minutes. Monitor carefully; bake until the cheese is fully melted and the edges of the chips become crispy.
  6. Invert and Serve: Once baked, carefully remove the bundt pan from the oven. Use a heatproof plate to invert the bundt pan gently, releasing the layered nacho mound onto the plate.
  7. Add Garnishes: Before serving, top the nachos with sour cream, diced tomatoes, and chopped fresh cilantro for added flavor and a fresh finish. Serve warm for best taste.

Notes

  • To prevent sticking, lightly grease the bundt pan before layering ingredients.
  • Feel free to customize toppings such as jalapeños, avocado slices, or olives for extra flavor.
  • Using freshly ground black pepper enhances flavor compared to pre-ground.
  • Homemade taco seasoning can be substituted for store-bought to control sodium and spice level.
  • Keep an eye on the nachos while baking to avoid burning the chips.
