Description

Refresh yourself with this vibrant and healthy Watermelon Mint Lemonade, a perfect summer beverage bursting with fresh watermelon, zesty lemon, and cooling mint. Sweetened naturally with honey or simple syrup, this drink is easy to prepare and incredibly refreshing, ideal for hot days or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 4 cups seedless watermelon, cubed
  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice (about 34 lemons)
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves (plus more for garnish)
  • 1/4 cup honey or simple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 2 cups cold water
  • Ice cubes for serving
  • Lemon slices and watermelon wedges for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Blend Ingredients: In a blender, combine watermelon cubes, fresh lemon juice, mint leaves, and honey or simple syrup. Blend until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  2. Strain Mixture: Pour the blended mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a large pitcher to remove pulp and achieve a smooth texture, if desired.
  3. Add Water and Mix: Stir in the cold water thoroughly. Taste the lemonade and adjust the sweetness by adding more honey or syrup if needed.
  4. Chill: Refrigerate the lemonade for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld and serve chilled.
  5. Serve: Serve the watermelon mint lemonade over ice cubes, garnished with lemon slices, extra fresh mint leaves, and small watermelon wedges as desired.

Notes

  • For a sparkling version, replace half of the cold water with sparkling water just before serving.
  • Freeze some watermelon cubes and blend them with the other ingredients to create a slushier, colder texture.
