- 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

- 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- Chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions

- Cook the Chicken: Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken pieces and cook for 5 to 6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through.
- Add and Cook Asparagus: Add the asparagus pieces to the skillet with the chicken and cook for an additional 3 to 4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the asparagus is crisp-tender but still bright green.
- Finish and Garnish: Squeeze the fresh lemon juice over the chicken and asparagus, stir to combine well, then remove the skillet from heat. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired, and serve hot.
Notes
- Serve this dish over rice, quinoa, or cauliflower rice for a complete meal.
- You can substitute green beans or broccoli in place of asparagus for variety.
- Chicken thighs add more richness and flavor, whereas chicken breasts offer a leaner protein option.
