Ingredients
Scale
Spinach and Artichokes
- 1 (10 oz) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
- 1 (14 oz) can artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
Dairy and Creamy Ingredients
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Spices
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Optional: 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes for extra heat
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking dish to prevent sticking and ensure easy cleanup.
- Mix Creamy Base: In a bowl, blend together the softened cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
- Add Spinach and Artichokes: Stir in the thawed and drained chopped spinach, chopped artichokes, grated Parmesan cheese, and half of the shredded mozzarella cheese. Mix thoroughly to distribute all ingredients evenly.
- Prepare for Baking: Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top for a golden cheesy crust.
- Bake the Dip: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the dip is bubbling and the top is golden and slightly crispy.
- Cool Slightly and Garnish: Remove the dip from the oven and allow it to cool slightly to set. Optionally, sprinkle crushed red pepper flakes on top for added spice.
- Serve Warm: Serve the dip warm with tortilla chips, pita bread, crackers, or fresh vegetables for dipping and enjoy immediately.
Notes
- Be sure to thoroughly drain the spinach and artichokes to prevent the dip from becoming watery.
- For a spicier kick, increase the crushed red pepper flakes to your preferred heat level.
- This dip can be prepared ahead and refrigerated; bake just before serving.
- Leftovers can be refrigerated and reheated in the oven or microwave.
- Substitute mayonnaise with Greek yogurt for a healthier twist.
