Description

This Texas Roadhouse Salmon recipe features tender salmon fillets glazed with a sweet and savory mixture of brown sugar, soy sauce, melted butter, honey, and spices. Baked to perfection, this dish offers a flavorful and easy weeknight dinner that’s sure to impress.

Ingredients

Scale

Salmon

  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)

Glaze

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika

Garnish

  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
  2. Prepare glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, soy sauce, melted butter, honey, garlic powder, black pepper, and paprika until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  3. Prepare salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and arrange them on the prepared baking sheet. Brush half of the glaze evenly over the top of each salmon fillet.
  4. Bake first round: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake the salmon for 8 minutes to start cooking and caramelize the glaze slightly.
  5. Glaze and finish baking: Remove the salmon from the oven, brush the remaining glaze over the fillets, then return them to the oven. Bake for an additional 8 to 10 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  6. Rest and garnish: Let the salmon rest for 2 minutes after baking to allow juices to redistribute. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For best results, use fresh salmon fillets with skin removed or leave skin on as preferred.
  • You can substitute honey with maple syrup for a different sweetness profile.
  • Make sure to pat the salmon dry thoroughly to allow the glaze to stick better.
  • Monitor the salmon closely during the last few minutes to avoid overcooking, which can dry it out.
  • Serve with a side of steamed vegetables or a fresh green salad for a balanced meal.
