Instructions
- Prepare the Pan: Grease a 9″x13″ baking tray with cooking spray or line it with parchment paper to prevent sticking and allow easy removal of the treats.
- Melt Butter: Place a large pot over low heat and melt the ½ cup of butter gently to avoid burning.
- Add Sugar Cookie Mix: Stir in ½ cup of sugar cookie mix continuously and cook for 1 minute to blend the flavors well with the melted butter.
- Melt Marshmallows: Add the entire 10-ounce bag of large marshmallows; keep stirring continuously until they are fully melted and combined smoothly with the butter and sugar cookie mixture.
- Mix in Cereal: Remove the pot from heat. Gently fold in 6 cups of Rice Krispies Cereal using a spatula or wooden spoon. Spray your mixing utensil with cooking spray beforehand to reduce sticking.
- Add Mini Marshmallows and Sprinkles: Immediately fold in â…“ cup mini marshmallows and 2 tablespoons of sprinkles. Some mini marshmallows will melt slightly, adding texture and sweetness.
- Press Mixture Evenly: Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan and gently spread it out into an even layer. Avoid pressing too hard; press just enough to hold the mixture together for neatly cut bars.
- Decorate: Sprinkle additional sprinkles on top for a festive, colorful finish.
