Ingredients
Scale
Steak Bites
- 1 lb sirloin steak (cut into 1-inch cubes)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 tbsp butter (divided)
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tsp fresh rosemary (chopped)
Gnocchi
- 1 lb store-bought or homemade gnocchi
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Season Steak Bites: Generously season the sirloin steak cubes with salt and pepper to ensure flavorful bites.
- Cook Steak Bites: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over high heat. Add the steak bites and sear for 2-3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your preferred doneness. Remove steak from the skillet and set aside to rest.
- Cook Gnocchi: In the same skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the gnocchi and pan-fry until they turn golden brown, about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally for even browning.
- Add Garlic and Rosemary: Push the gnocchi to one side of the skillet. Add the remaining butter, minced garlic, and chopped rosemary to the empty side. Cook for around 1 minute until the garlic is fragrant and aromatic.
- Toss Gnocchi in Garlic Butter: Mix the golden gnocchi with the garlic and rosemary butter to fully coat them with flavor.
- Combine Steak and Gnocchi: Return the cooked steak bites to the pan with the gnocchi and heat through for a minute so the flavors meld together.
- Finish and Garnish: Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the dish and garnish with fresh parsley for color and added freshness.
- Serve: Serve hot immediately and enjoy this delicious, hearty meal.
Notes
- For best results, use fresh gnocchi or high-quality store-bought gnocchi to ensure the perfect texture.
- Adjust cooking time of steak bites according to your preferred level of doneness.
- You can substitute rosemary with thyme or oregano if desired.
- Adding a splash of white wine or chicken broth when cooking the gnocchi can add extra flavor and moisture.
- Leftover steak can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
