Ingredients
Scale
Slider Assembly
- 12 slider rolls or Hawaiian rolls
- ¾ lb sliced roast beef (deli-style or leftover)
- 6 slices provolone or Swiss cheese, halved
- ½ cup caramelized onions or sautéed mushrooms (optional)
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise or horseradish sauce (optional)
Butter Topping
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion flakes or poppy seeds (optional)
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare Pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a baking dish or line it with foil to prevent sticking.
- Assemble Sliders: Slice the slider rolls in half horizontally, keeping the halves connected. Place the bottom halves in the prepared baking dish as the base layer.
- Add Fillings: Evenly layer the sliced roast beef over the bottom halves, then add the halved cheese slices. Optionally, spread caramelized onions or sautéed mushrooms and mayonnaise or horseradish sauce over the meat and cheese for extra flavor.
- Top the Sliders: Place the top halves of the rolls over the fillings, creating assembled sliders in the baking dish.
- Prepare Butter Topping: In a small bowl, whisk together the melted unsalted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion flakes or poppy seeds if using, and a pinch of salt until well combined.
- Brush Sliders: Generously brush the butter mixture over the tops of the assembled rolls to add flavor and help achieve a golden crust.
- Bake Covered: Cover the baking dish with foil and bake the sliders in the preheated oven for 15 minutes to warm through and melt the cheese.
- Bake Uncovered: Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 5–7 minutes until the tops are golden brown and the cheese has fully melted.
- Serve: Let the sliders cool slightly before slicing them apart and serving to enjoy warm and flavorful sandwiches.
Notes
- These sliders are perfect for parties, game days, or any gathering where easy, shareable food is needed.
- You can substitute the roast beef with turkey or ham for different variations.
- For a sharper taste, swap provolone or Swiss cheese with cheddar cheese.
- Caramelized onions add sweetness, while sautéed mushrooms provide earthiness—both are great add-ins but optional.
- Horseradish sauce gives a spicy kick as an alternative to mayonnaise.
- If you prefer a gluten-free option, use gluten-free slider buns.
