Ingredients
Scale
Fruits
- 2 cups fresh pineapple chunks (about 1 ripe pineapple)
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled
- Juice of 1 lime (freshly squeezed)
Other
- 4 cups filtered water
- 2 tablespoons agave syrup or honey (adjust to taste)
Instructions
- Prepare the Fruits: Peel and chop the pineapple into chunks and hull the strawberries to get them ready for blending.
- Blend the Base: In a blender, combine the pineapple chunks, hulled strawberries, and freshly squeezed lime juice. Blend until the mixture is smooth.
- Strain if Desired: For a smoother texture, strain the blended mixture through a fine mesh strainer to remove pulp and seeds, though this step is optional.
- Add Sweetener: Mix in 2 tablespoons of agave syrup or honey to the strained or unstrained mixture, blending briefly to combine the sweetness evenly.
- Adjust Consistency and Chill: Pour in cold filtered water to dilute the mixture to your preferred consistency. Stir well and refrigerate to chill before serving.
Notes
- For a pulp-free drink, ensure to strain the blended mixture through a fine mesh sieve.
- Adjust sweetness based on your preference by varying the amount of agave syrup or honey.
- Use fresh, ripe fruits for the best natural flavor and sweetness.
- This drink is best served chilled on a hot day for maximum refreshment.
- Agave syrup can be substituted with honey for a different natural sweetener option.
