Ingredients
Scale
Ganache Ingredients
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 4 oz semi-sweet or dark chocolate, chopped
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt (optional)
Instructions
- Heat Cream: In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it starts to simmer, being careful not to boil it.
- Melt Chocolate: Remove the saucepan from heat and add the chopped chocolate. Stir continuously until the chocolate is fully melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Add Remaining Ingredients: Stir in the peanut butter, butter, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt if desired. Mix thoroughly until the ganache is glossy and fully combined.
- Cool Ganache: Allow the ganache to cool for about 10 minutes to thicken slightly before using. For a thicker texture, let it cool longer at room temperature.
- Store or Use: Use the ganache immediately as a drizzle, dip, or filling, or store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week. When refrigerated, gently reheat before use to restore smooth consistency.
Notes
- Do not let the cream boil while heating to avoid burning the ganache.
- You can substitute dark chocolate with milk chocolate for a sweeter ganache.
- Add a pinch of salt to enhance the peanut butter and chocolate flavors.
- Use creamy peanut butter for best silky texture; chunky peanut butter may affect smoothness.
- Gently reheat refrigerated ganache in short bursts to prevent separation.
