Instructions
- Pressure Cook Chicken: Place the boneless, skinless chicken breasts into the Instant Pot. Pour the teriyaki sauce and water over the chicken evenly. Secure the Instant Pot lid and seal it properly for pressure cooking.
- Cook on High Pressure: Set the Instant Pot to cook on high pressure for 12 minutes. Once the cooking time is complete, allow the pressure to release naturally to ensure the chicken remains tender and juicy.
- Thicken Sauce: Carefully remove the cooked chicken breasts from the pot and set aside. Switch the Instant Pot to “Sauté” mode to prepare the sauce. Add the cornstarch to the remaining liquid in the pot and whisk continuously until the sauce thickens and becomes glossy.
- Combine and Serve: Chop the chicken into bite-sized pieces and return them to the thickened sauce in the pot. Stir well to coat the chicken evenly. Serve the teriyaki chicken over cooked rice and steamed vegetables. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired to add extra flavor and texture.
