Description

Delicious grilled beef broccoli wraps featuring tender marinated flank steak, perfectly steamed broccoli florets, and fresh veggies wrapped in soft flour tortillas. These Asian-inspired, fusion-style wraps offer a balanced combination of savory flavors and healthy ingredients, ideal for a quick and satisfying main course meal.

Ingredients

Scale

Beef Marinade

  • 1 lb flank steak or skirt steak, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce (or tamari)
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger

Vegetables & Wraps

  • 2 cups broccoli florets, steamed until just tender
  • 4 large flour tortillas or wraps
  • ½ cup shredded carrots
  • ¼ cup chopped green onions

Optional Toppings

  • Sesame seeds
  • Sriracha or spicy mayo

Instructions

  1. Marinate the beef: In a medium bowl, combine the thinly sliced flank or skirt steak with olive oil, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Toss well to evenly coat the meat. Allow it to marinate for 15–30 minutes to absorb the flavors.
  2. Preheat the grill: Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat until hot.
  3. Grill the beef: Place the marinated beef slices onto the hot grill. Cook for 2–3 minutes per side or until the meat is cooked through and slightly charred. Remove the beef from the grill and set aside.
  4. Warm the tortillas: Heat the flour tortillas in a dry skillet over medium heat or microwave them briefly until they become soft and pliable for easy wrapping.
  5. Assemble the wraps: Lay out each tortilla and layer with grilled beef slices, steamed broccoli florets, shredded carrots, and chopped green onions.
  6. Add optional toppings: Drizzle with sriracha or spicy mayo if you like some heat. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top for extra texture and flavor.
  7. Roll and serve: Fold and roll up each tortilla tightly to form a wrap. Serve warm immediately or wrap them in foil for easy meal prep and later consumption.

Notes

  • For a low-carb variation, substitute flour tortillas with large lettuce cups or low-carb tortillas.
  • To make the wraps heartier, add cooked rice or quinoa to the filling.
  • Swap the beef for grilled tofu or chicken breasts for different protein options.
  • Make sure not to overcook the broccoli to keep it crisp-tender and vibrant.
  • Adjust the amount of spicy mayo or sriracha based on your preferred spice level.
