Scale
Tea Base
- 3 green tea bags
- 2 cups boiling water
- 1–2 teaspoons honey or sweetener of choice (optional)
Mixers and Garnish
- 1 ½ cups cold apple juice (100% juice recommended)
- 1 cup cold water or ice cubes
- Apple slices (optional, for garnish)
- Mint leaves (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Steep the Tea: Place 3 green tea bags in 2 cups of boiling water and allow to steep for 3–4 minutes to extract the flavors. Once done, remove the tea bags and let the brewed tea cool slightly to avoid diluting your sweetener.
- Sweeten if Desired: Stir in 1–2 teaspoons of honey or your preferred sweetener while the tea is still warm, ensuring it dissolves fully for even sweetness.
- Combine Ingredients: Transfer the cooled tea into a pitcher and add 1 ½ cups of cold apple juice and 1 cup of cold water or a handful of ice cubes. Stir thoroughly to blend all the flavors together.
- Chill the Drink: Refrigerate the mixture until it is fully chilled, allowing the flavors to meld and the drink to refreshingly cool.
- Serve: Pour the iced apple green tea over ice cubes into glasses and garnish each with fresh apple slices and mint leaves for a visually appealing and aromatic finish.
Notes
- For a stronger tea flavor, increase the number of tea bags or steep the tea longer.
- Substitute cold water with sparkling water to create a fizzy and effervescent variation of this drink.
- Using green apple juice instead of regular apple juice adds a tangy twist, enhancing the drink’s complexity.
