Banana Bread Batter:
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking pan.
- Mix Brownie Batter: In a bowl, stir melted butter and sugar together. Add eggs and vanilla, then mix in cocoa, flour, and salt until well combined.
- Mix Banana Bread Batter: In another bowl, combine mashed bananas and applesauce. Stir in baking soda, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg until just mixed.
- Layer Batter: Spread half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan. Top with the banana bread batter, then the remaining brownie batter.
- Bake: Bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
