Ingredients
Scale
Ingredients
- 1 – 13.8 oz Tube Refrigerated Pizza Dough
- 36 Slices Pepperoni
- 1 Cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- 2 Tbsp Butter
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Italian Seasoning
Instructions
- Prepare the Dough: Unroll the refrigerated pizza dough onto a cutting board or flat surface and flatten it into a rectangle shape to make it easier to cut and fill.
- Cut the Dough: Using a sharp knife or a pizza cutter, slice the dough into nine equal rectangular pieces to form the individual pepperoni rolls.
- Add the Pepperoni: Place 4 pepperoni slices in the center of each rectangle of dough to ensure each roll has a good amount of filling.
- Add Cheese: Add about one tablespoon of shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the pepperoni in each rectangle for melty, cheesy goodness.
- Shape the Rolls: Fold the dough over the pepperoni and cheese, pressing to seal the seam securely; then fold up the ends and press them to fully seal the filling inside the dough.
- Position the Rolls: Place each pepperoni roll seam side down to prevent them from opening during cooking.
- Repeat: Repeat the filling and shaping process with the remaining dough pieces until all nine rolls are formed.
- Melt Butter: Melt the butter in a small microwave-safe bowl to prepare for brushing over the rolls.
- Make Seasoning Mix: In a small bowl, combine garlic powder, salt, and Italian seasoning to create a flavorful topping mix.
- Brush and Season: Using a pastry brush, coat each pepperoni roll with melted butter, then sprinkle the garlic seasoning mixture evenly on top to add flavor and a golden finish.
- Air Fry: Arrange the pepperoni rolls a few inches apart in the air fryer basket. Cook them at 350°F for 8-10 minutes or until they turn a golden brown color, indicating they are cooked through and crispy on the outside.
Notes
- Ensure the dough is sealed well to prevent cheese from leaking out during air frying.
- Adjust cooking time based on your air fryer model; check at 8 minutes and add more time if needed.
- You can substitute mozzarella with any melting cheese of your preference.
- Brush additional garlic butter after cooking for extra flavor if desired.
- Serve warm for best taste and texture.
