Ingredients
Scale
Chicken
- 4 chicken breasts
- Salt & pepper, to taste
For Cooking
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
Sauce
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Garnish
- Fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Season Chicken: Season the chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper on both sides to enhance flavor.
- Cook Chicken: Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook until golden brown and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes per side. Once done, remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- Sauté Garlic: In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.
- Prepare Sauce: Pour in the chicken broth, heavy cream, and grated Parmesan cheese. Stir continuously to combine and allow the sauce to thicken and become creamy, which should take a few minutes.
- Simmer Chicken in Sauce: Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet and let them simmer in the creamy garlic sauce for a few minutes to meld the flavors together.
- Add Lemon Juice and Garnish: Stir in the lemon juice for a bright, fresh flavor, then garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- For a thicker sauce, simmer the sauce a little longer before adding the chicken back in.
- You can use chicken thighs instead of breasts if preferred.
- Serve with rice, pasta, or steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
- Make sure not to overcook the chicken to keep it juicy and tender.
- Freshly grated Parmesan cheese works best for the creamiest sauce.
