Ingredients
Scale
Salmon Bites
- 1 lb. salmon, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil (optional)
- Cooking spray, as needed
- Scallions, for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the Marinade: In a medium bowl, combine olive oil, soy sauce, honey, garlic powder, paprika, and sesame oil if using. Mix thoroughly to blend the flavors into a smooth marinade.
- Marinate the Salmon: Add the salmon cubes into the marinade and gently toss to evenly coat every piece, ensuring maximum flavor absorption.
- Marinate in the Fridge: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes, or up to 3 hours to allow the salmon to absorb all the delicious flavors.
- Preheat the Air Fryer: Set your air fryer to 400℉ (204℃) and let it preheat for a few minutes to ensure even cooking.
- Arrange and Air Fry: Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking. Place the salmon cubes in a single layer inside the basket, making sure they have space to cook evenly. Air fry at 400℉ for 7 minutes until the salmon is cooked through and edges are golden with slight char.
- Serve: Transfer the cooked salmon bites to a serving dish. Garnish with freshly chopped scallions and serve immediately for the best flavor and texture.
Notes
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket; cook in batches if necessary for even crisping.
- Check internal temperature to ensure salmon reaches 145℉ for safe consumption.
- You can substitute honey with maple syrup or agave for a vegan alternative.
- For extra crispiness, flip the salmon bites halfway through cooking.
- Leftovers can be kept in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
