Ingredients
Scale
Pasta
- 12 ounces bowtie (farfalle) pasta
Beef
- 1 pound ground beef
Sauce
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
Garnish
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: Cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions in salted water until al dente, then drain and set aside.
- Brown the Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned and fully cooked, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess grease and set the beef aside.
- Sauté Garlic: In the same skillet, melt the butter and sauté the minced garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Make Alfredo Sauce: Pour in the heavy cream and whole milk, stirring to combine, and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, Italian seasoning, and nutmeg. Cook the sauce until it thickens slightly, stirring occasionally.
- Combine Beef and Sauce: Return the cooked ground beef to the skillet and stir to combine thoroughly with the sauce.
- Toss Pasta with Sauce: Add the cooked bowtie pasta to the skillet and toss everything together until the pasta is well coated with the creamy Alfredo sauce.
- Heat Through: Cook for another 2 to 3 minutes on medium heat until everything is warmed through and well combined.
- Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the pasta before serving for a fresh and colorful finish.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use half-and-half instead of milk or add extra Parmesan cheese.
- You can substitute ground beef with sliced steak or Italian sausage for variety.
- Add broccoli or mushrooms for extra texture and nutrition.
