Description

This Beef and Bowtie Alfredo is a creamy, comforting Italian-American dish that combines tender ground beef with perfectly cooked bowtie pasta and a rich Alfredo sauce made with butter, garlic, heavy cream, and Parmesan cheese. It’s an easy stovetop meal perfect for a hearty dinner, garnished with fresh parsley for a burst of freshness.

Ingredients

Scale

Pasta

  • 12 ounces bowtie (farfalle) pasta

Beef

  • 1 pound ground beef

Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)

Garnish

  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions in salted water until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  2. Brown the Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned and fully cooked, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess grease and set the beef aside.
  3. Sauté Garlic: In the same skillet, melt the butter and sauté the minced garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Make Alfredo Sauce: Pour in the heavy cream and whole milk, stirring to combine, and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, Italian seasoning, and nutmeg. Cook the sauce until it thickens slightly, stirring occasionally.
  5. Combine Beef and Sauce: Return the cooked ground beef to the skillet and stir to combine thoroughly with the sauce.
  6. Toss Pasta with Sauce: Add the cooked bowtie pasta to the skillet and toss everything together until the pasta is well coated with the creamy Alfredo sauce.
  7. Heat Through: Cook for another 2 to 3 minutes on medium heat until everything is warmed through and well combined.
  8. Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the pasta before serving for a fresh and colorful finish.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use half-and-half instead of milk or add extra Parmesan cheese.
  • You can substitute ground beef with sliced steak or Italian sausage for variety.
  • Add broccoli or mushrooms for extra texture and nutrition.
